Adriana Bustos’ practice analyzes and reconfigures knowledge production systems. 'Planisferio Venus' is part of the artist’s Vision Machine project, non-linear cartographies of knowledge, power and social transformation. In the wall painting commissioned for Cosmopolis #2, astronomical diagrams are annotated and illustrated as charts reinterpreting history from a feminist and decolonial perspective. Bustos’ meticulously drawn constellations of overlooked and effaced female figures create alternative epistemologies, calling for more comprehensive and nuanced historical narratives.
On 24 October Adriana Bustos takes part in an artist conversation in the Cosmopolis discursive space.
